I have been Managing Director of BWH Hotels Central Europe since April 2008, focussing on hotel development and hotel relations. I learnt the hotel business from the bottom up. After my training and an extra-occupational marketing degree, I held various positions in sales and marketing.
After ten years at Steigenberger Hotels, I joined Best Western in 1999. ‘Exceeding hotelier and guest expectations’ is one of my favourite topics. As an intern on the RTL TV programme ‘Undercover Boss’, I worked unrecognised on the ground in various Best Western hotels.
Today, I pass on the knowledge I gained there in lectures and give valuable impulses from practice for practice

As Managing Director of BWH Hotels Central Europe since 2018, I am responsible for all customer and market-relevant areas such as marketing & sales, distribution & revenue management as well as reservation and web technology. Prior to that, I worked for Best Western for 25 years in various positions.
Among other things, I developed the successful Best Western strategy to strengthen its own distribution and led it to success: As a result, Best Western's own website has now become the most successful direct sales channel for affiliated Best Western hotels. As proof of the success of our online activities, the digital marketing strategy of Best Western Hotels & Resorts was recently awarded top marks in a study by the German Dialogue Marketing Association (DDV) and the management consultancy absolit Dr. Schwarz consulting.
